Mediation Services
Ray Mediation Services is committed to resolving disputes in an efficient manner by allowing the parties to participate and control the resolution of their dispute or disagreement with the aid of an objective, trained and knowledgeable neutral mediator to assist them.
Types of disputes mediated include: commercial litigation, consumer and DTPA litigation, collection disputes, employment disputes, premises liability, professional malpractice, bankruptcy disputes, torts, real estate and construction disputes, and others.

Location
Mediation may occur at the offices of one of the attorneys, at the mediator's office in McKinney, or at other locations more suitable to the parties.
Fees
Mediation fees are generally based on a full-day (up to 8 hours) or a half-day session (up to 4 hours). Full-day mediation costs $850 per party and includes lunch while half-day mediation costs $400 per party. All parties represented by the same counsel are counted as one party. Related parties, with aligned interests, may be counted as more than one party if they have separate counsel.
If the mediator is available, mediations may continue past the allotted time. If mediation extends past eight hours for a full-day or four hours for a half-day, then each party will be charged the hourly fee of $100 per hour. Please be prepared to provide a check at the mediation to cover all additional mediation fees. Additional charges may be charged if it becomes necessary to rent additional rooms or an alternate location for the mediation.
The mediation fee shall be deemed fully earned at the commencement of the initial mediation session. Payment of the mediation fee is due within ten days of the mediation. All fee payments shall be in the form of cash, cashier's check, insurance company check, corporate check or check drawn on the bank account of (or payment guaranteed by) a law firm and payable to Ray Law Firm and Mediation Services. If payment is tendered in any other form, it will be considered as guaranteed by counsel.
